Years ago while working as an Arts and Ecology Director at Girl Scout Camp Farnsworth in the Connecticut River Valley of Vermont, I started doing potato and other vegetable printing as well as various kinds of nature "rubbings" with the campers and fellow counselors there.Since then I used this medium with kids and adults in many of my Environmental Education/Interpretive Naturalist jobs and still love doing both to this day.
Over the past several years in my role as Caretaker for my Dad, who passed away this past May, this medium became pure art therapy for me.
Now I have boxes and boxes of such prints and I hope to sell some to be able to support myself beyond what I receive in my monthly ss retirement.
I will probably continue to create art this way for the rest of my life and share them here in hopes that....someday , someone might want to own an original. " ANNIE B."!
