" In these dark days of so much horror

I take to my bed to dream a different outcome. Sleep is a twisted prayer, a nightsweat bucket of grieving as the wrath of man becomes a blood red cloak that drapes its sorrow over us all.  I cannot look yet I must not look away .  Violence does not give up. War does not give up. Rage does not give up. Righteousness does not give up. Only love, with its body  broken and on bended knee, rasping in the choking dust of retaliation, oozing tears and sweat and grief of so much loss can whisper into the sand and bone of history “Choose me. Choose me”
