"Waterfall"

Shortly after college I landed in Austin, Texas and found Women's music and the glory of us. Strong Lesbian Women, singing from the depths of our souls, being truly who we were meant to be.
Thank YOU TO Cris and others like Ferron, Holly Near,Lucy Tremblay ,The Ruth and Gail Ensemble, Margie Adams and others, I knew I was just fine, and the way that I was meant to be.

To The Morning ~ Dan Fogelberg [ CC ]

Dan Fogelberg ,John Denver, James Taylor , Chicago and Bread were pretty much my therapists in college at Morehead State University in eastern  Kentucky .  This is one of my Dan favorites.  I was so very fortunate to have landed there in those soft hills.  This song always brings me right back  and laughing and crying with the beautiful souls I met there....

"Grateful living is important in the world because in our constant pursuit of more and better we can easily lose sight of the riches that lay right in front of us and within us."

the whole enchilada...or my birthday present to myself

white buffalo woman dancer

For me it has Native American symbolism.
I have been drawn to hot pink for a few months, probably because of a friends breast cancer . And i love hot pink and orange together...so at first I put on the yellow and orange down the middle and splattered hot pink on one side then folded it.
What I saw then was myself dancing ...then saw the buffalo at her feet...she is dancing...white buffalo woman......holding two hot pink octopus-like rattles ...dancing between rolling thunder earth and waves of the ocean, always, always maintaining the Libra balance.
It is so personal I wasn't originally going to put it on my blog....but my blog is my BOOK and as endless as an eddy....so I put it up.  It is exhausting to look over my blog at times but it helps me remember who I truly am. And  it helps me realize that at times I have been through hell and back...and like this painting...I will keep on dancing and endure...
