Naturalist John Burroughs may have been addressing your current needs when he wrote the following: "The lesson which life constantly enforces is 'Look underfoot.' You are always nearer to the true sources of your power than you think. The lure of the distant and the difficult is deceptive. The great opportunity is where you are. Every place is the center of the world."

Here is a quote taped to the counter of an amazing Medicine store in Gainesville called "Otter and Trout" www.ottertrout.com.   I go to this store every chance I get to purchase my choice of health care,(Plant Medicine) and talk with a really wise woman called Kimberli Otter.   I had never heard of this man until now.  We all know the quote to be true but how easily we all forget.

"Bring up in your mind all of the people who injured you in this lifetime, and one by one, offer them your unconditional forgiveness and then let them go.  Then bring up all those you have injured by your thoughts, words and deeds, even without intention. And one at a time, offer yourself that same unconditional forgiveness and just let them go.  Once you let these burdens go, you release distortions you've been carrying for years in your energetic field and you become free.  This is about liberation".  kahuna Hale Makua

Happy Earthday Y'all.

R.I.P. Hildegarde the Chicken

We Lost our oldest Hen "Hildegarde" (named for Hildegarde of Bingen) this past week. Broad daylight kill. I am not sure whether or not it was a Bald Eagle or what.
She gave us many eggs and I am Thankful for that.  Since then the other white hen Isabelle has been a little wacky(the only witness besides Mollie the Dog). The third hen Chloe won't leave the nest. She has been sitting on the unfertilized eggs for over a week.  I have had to use a stick to nudge her off and get them out.  I will miss watching the 3 of them together.
