Georgesville, Ohio
Yesterday's excersion away from the house was to Georgesville, Ohio where the Little Darby and The Big Darby come together. My Great-Great Grandfather Finneran settled there on the prairie first here in Ohio before moving into Franklinton.
I like going to the cemetery there high on the top of a hill and feeling the breeze rush in off of the prairie down through the valley of two rivers and back up again to the top of this peaceful burial ground. I usually sit in the shade of a large old butternut tree and look out over my favorite river access here in Columbus, Ohio.
