First Snow

Finally the holidays are passed and it is safe to say that I am now preparing myself for the ideal go -within-create -and- read- alot -of -books winter.

I go back and forth on this , but to me at the moment, my most sacred book will most likely always be "Shelter" by Lloyd Kahn. I found this copy in my buried stack a few hours ago and also found the inevitable stuffed pieces of paper. Again the eddy comes back to my dream of creating a shelter/studio/sanctuary for myself , somewhere, this year.

These books of his are the best darn inspiration on the planet for building just about anything. For years I have looked at all of his pictures. Now I am just starting to read the actual text and have fallen in love all over again.

This is actually my second copy of Shelter, found here in Half Priced Books in Columbus. The first and first edition copy I once had, I gave away to a friend in Indiana. I sure hope he loves it.

I love that some of my "Options" doodled a while back including the pup and dome tent , tiny houses the lightest way to travel of them all.

Finally, it snowed for our first 2012 dusting. I went down to Big Run Creek and encountered a whole flock of fat Robins and some peace for a moment in the city.
