A collage work in progress...
Since the advent of color pictures in newspapers, I have enjoyed making collages from time to time . I tend to have the goal of having all or most of the pictures coming from one edition of a newspaper or magazine. Many of my collages over the past several years have foretold things to come in ways I could never have imagined.
I wanted to make this collage from yesterday's Citrus Co. Chronicle
because I love this story and love these mysterious statues and I wanted to be able to look at them for quite a while while the professionals figure out where they came from. The roses came from rose catalogue, but all else is from sunday's paper.
Collage is funny that way because by nature, it utilizes many other peoples art, cut up and rearranged, blurring those lines ever so more.
